Firsts.

I've never been one to love jumping into new things. If I didn't intentionally push myself to try new ventures, my world would be pretty small. Nice and safe and comfortable but small. I've thought about starting a blog for a few years now but I haven't because it's something new and unknown and possibly vulnerable--and this girl likes it safe!


I made a decision a couple of weeks back and that became the last push I needed to finally start this blog: I'm closing my Facebook account. Unfortunately it has stolen too much precious time--time on my phone or my computer that could have been spent playing and discovering with my children, or having an actual conversation with my husband. I don't want to look back in a few years and regret having missed out on the things that really matter. With that said, please note: I AM NOT anti-Facebook nor do I think it's the devil!!! I think Facebook can be great for how it connects people and far-away family, which is what I'll miss the most and the reason I finally decided to start the blog. So here we are!


This is so fun already. I think as long as nobody leaves any blasting comments, I'm going to make it past my "first day of school" nervousness.
